COURSE APPLICATIONS CLOSED FOR 2022
For the first 6 weeks of Zero to 100 you'll be learning Salesforce from the ground up. We fully expect you to enter this course with zero knowledge of Salesforce.
You'll get all the answers to those bothering Salesforce questions like... What is the best way to get a Salesforce job? How do I start learning Salesforce? What does a career in Salesforce look like for me? Why does Salesforce have so many features? And which ones should I focus on?!
You will learn:
- What a Salesforce Admin does
- What a typical day of a Salesforce Admin looks like
- What sort of jobs can you get with a Salesforce Admin Certification
- Why all these complex Salesforce features exist, when to use them, and how they differ from each other
- The must-know skills and concepts for being a Salesforce Admin
Once you understand the ins and outs of Salesforce, like the difference between Org Wide Defaults and Org Level Security, you will spend the next 4 weeks building a Real World project:
- Applying what you have learned right away
- Work with a New Zealand Company working to develop a Salesforce solution custom made for them
- Working with a Salesforce team
As part of the project, you will be submitting technical documentation and a video presentation of your work. Our trainers have worked in the industry so you'll get useful feedback about how you can improve and be ready for the market!
This is a great chance for you to build up some experience and really see what being an Admin is like in real life. Plus, it provides an awesome talking point in interviews as this is real Salesforce experience.
Fresh out of your real-world project, you'll spend 6 weeks focusing solely on how to to pass the Salesforce Administrator certification and then actually sit your exam!
We start this section of the course by booking your exam within the Exam Period of the course to keep you accountable. We will cover the cost of your exam voucher and all other practice exams during this time.
On top of the usual weekly Workshop and Q+A trainer sessions you will sit multiple Salesforce practice exams, get our custom study guides, notes, dictionary, and videos.
There will be no shortage of material available so you can study in the way that best suits you! As well as this you can always message the trainers or your fellow cohort for help and questions at any time.
We spend the last part of the course getting you ready for the real deal. Your final 4 weeks will include:
- Practice interviews for Salesforce roles
- How to properly sell yourself
- Use LinkedIn to maximise your job offer potential
- Get prepared for the tech industry by learning in demand skills such as Agile Methodologies, JIRA, and more.
- Connect you to recruiters and companies that are looking for Salesforce talent!
Hear from, and talk to companies who are looking for Salesforce talent! We bring them in every week to speak exclusively to you about the careers available in the Salesforce eco-system.
This is your chance to network with a whole heap of Salesforce businesses looking to hire, and meet a whole bunch of awesome people.
It's a fantastic networking opportunity, and a great chance to get an inside look at companies you may be interviewing with at the end of the course.
Previous companies that have come to speak to students include:
- and more...
1. The demand
There's no doubt that Salesforce is blowing up right now in New Zealand. With 4.2 Million new jobs predicted to be created between 2019 and 2024, it's fair to say that there are more jobs than there are currently people with the skills to do them. What's more, COVID has really corned the New Zealand Salesforce talent pool, forcing companies to begin looking more at local talent to hire. That's great news for us locals!
This Forbes article has the following advice to graduates: "If you are a young graduate who has just entered the world of business automation, good Salesforce training will solidify your position as a Salesforce professional in some of the best companies in the world."
2. The pay
According to payscale.com, the average New Zealand salary for a Salesforce Developer is close to $90K, while Salesforce Technical Architects earn anywhere from $140,000 - $300,000 per year. (Psst. It's even better if we look overseas!). The only limit to your salary is how much you learn and your level of skills. It's simple!
3. It's a globally recognised certification
Once you have this certification, you can take it anywhere in the world. It's just as valuable here as it is in America, the UK, Australia, Germany...everywhere is looking for Salesforce talent.

The course consists of 4 main parts.
Part 1 - Introduction to Salesforce. You'll spend 6weeks just getting to know Salesforce, and covering all the concepts of Salesforce for the first time. These 6 weeks will give us the skills needed for part 2.
Part 2 - The Project. You'll then spend 4 weeks working on a real-world scenario project. While these will be completed individually, we encourage students to work together to get speed up their learning and bounce ideas off one another.
Part 3 - The Exam. Once the project is done, we'll get straight into the exam. It's 6 weeks of exam prep, followed by a 2 to 3 week exam period. Exciting times!
Part 4 - Job Preparation. With your exam in the dust behind you, it's time to look forwards to your next steps. Whether it's a brand new job, or moving up in your current organisation, in the final few weeks we'll cover our top tips for starting an incredible new Salesforce career (and maybe even line you up with a job interview or two!).
